Thought for the day? I don't think so.....seeing today's news, most of my thoughts are unprintable. Sorry.....first I must welcome you to my very first blog.
What am I doing? Right....there's quite a list. Trying to find five minutes for a quick practice on Northumbrian small pipes/Scottish small pipes. Organising some poems from friends to be used as the last section of my Audio, titled 'La Traviata'.
That is the name I used some years ago when I produced a number (hundreds!) of chap books and left them in cafes etc., even on car windscreens around Hexham. Have worked my way through the poems/short stories/plays (yes..even plays!), so am almost ready for it to be finalised.
Have already managed to get other works accepted via the strict standards of ACX and are now on Amazon - Audible - itunes. They are....'Rambusco' (obviously!) a fantasy/adventure tale, then the follow up with 'Drangora's Revenge'. 'Young Dreams' about a couple of teens on a farm near Lake Lagoda during the seige of Leningrad (now St. Petersberg), a somber story with a (reasonably) happy end. Then there is 'All Cats Look' a fairly gentle mystery involving a harmless little old lady...who isnt! The title was inspired by her 'changes'.....all cats look alike in the dark. Then, for youngsters, there are 'A Curious Old Shop' inspired by the drawings of Jenny.....the book is better.... and 'The Curious Adventures of Jeremiah Patience and his Friend Oaken Syncress with a Y'....what can I say? they are curious adventures.
The rain can't quite bring itself to stop...........let's see what tomorrow brings.....TTFN...
Day 2 and can't log in to MasonsKid@blogspot.com.....google doesn't seem to like it!
ReplyDeleteAnyway......nothing special to report....only the occasional growl as I read the papers.
The Labour party is a shadow of how it was in the 40's & 50's.....there really were giants in those days!!
WOW....the list of deaths in September puts Covid virus at number 19 !! With hospitals cutting down on things which need attention this is bound to happen. The news is....we are taking far too much notice of this virus...life must go on....no country can stand so many lockdowns without serious consequences both physically and economically.
One day......common sense will return.
